A dental crown replaces the natural crown of a tooth affected by large decay, fracture, or for cosmetic reasons.

Porcelain fused to metal crowns are considered a classical solution for restoration. They have a natural look and are well tolerated by the soft tissues. The metallic substructure gives the porcelain a good mechanical resistance.

Full ceramic crowns have an excellent esthetic look, as there is no metallic structure under the porcelain. The porcelain has perfect translucency almost identical to natural teeth. They are also very biocompatible, avoiding potential allergies caused by metallic alloys.

Zirconium oxide is harder then metals, but unlike metals is white. Zirconium does not cause gums discoloration and does not affect porcelain translucency.

At first, restorations were carried out to replace one or two missing teeth, but now full arch restoration are possible. Zirconium is nowadays the only dental material which allows bridge restorations without metallic substructure.

A dental bridge is a fixed prosthetic restoration used to replace one ore more missing teeth without dental implants. A dental bridge uses the support offered by the remaining teeth next to the edentulous area.

Dental veneers are minimal invasive restorations, extremely esthetic and very similar to natural teeth. They correct ideally enamel defects and discoloration.
